Dinard is worth a day trip at any time of the year although it makes sense to tie-in a visit to the huge market, held on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The resort has an upmarket feel about it with a wonderful sandy main beach, a casino, cinema, classy boutiques and shops.. Dinard is said to be the Nice of the north and is a sophisticated resort with palm trees, camellias, eucalyptus, mimosa and three great white sand beaches with lines of bathing tents. Nearby St Lunaire and St Briac offer similarly attractive resorts with stunning beaches overlooked by highly expensive period properties.

Other resorts that demand a visit, west of Dinard are St Cast, with its two vast sweeping beaches, St Jacut for its rugged nature, rocky islands and mussel beds (boulots), Erquy, which has a very pretty harbour and Pleneuf Val-Andre.
