FROM CAEN/CHERBOURG/LE HAVRE

From the port, follow signs for the motorway/autres directions and when on the peripherique watch closely for exit signs for Rennes and the main road west(E401/N175) heading for Rennes/Mont St Michel/St Brieuc. NOTE: having travelled for approx one hour west and just after Avranches there will be an EXIT FOR DINAN: make sure you take this if missed you will continue towards Rennes.

 When you reach the junction of the motorways, just east of the river Rance (between Dinan and St Malo, simply carry on on the E401 (signs for Dinan/St Brieuc) and cross the river at Plouer-sur-Rance, then pass Dinan and take the exit marked Vannes, Lorient and Caulnes.

At the T junction 50 metres from the exit take the left over the bridge(over the road you have just left) and at the roundabout take exit for Caulnes, Vannes & Lorient - D766.

10 mins down the road you will see - on a downhill open stretch, on the right - a Renault garage. Turn right(it is signposted Plumaudan at the turning) and follow into the village - 1 mile approx. At the T-junction on reaching the village (having passed the Massey Ferguson garage), follow the winding road and pass through the village, passing the church and coiffure on the right as you do so. 200 metres out of the village up a slight hill on the left is our cottage with the blue shutters and a barn in front of it the parking area will be marked.

The distance is about 130 miles from Caen and should take you just over 2 hours from the port to the house.

FROM ST MALO

Follow signs out of the port (toutes directions) and then look for the signs for the N137 to Rennes after approx 10 minutes on the dual carriageway, and after Chateauneuf, you will see signs for Dinan and St Brieuc (E401 and N176). Take this exit and you will cross the river Rance at Plouer-sur-Rance, then pass Dinan and take the exit marked Vannes, Lorient and Caulnes.
